2024 Highlights from R Lab
As we step into the new year (Happy Lunar New Year!), our team at Resilient and Inclusive Cities Lab would like to extend our warmest wishes for a happy and fulfilling 2025! Reflecting on 2024, it has been a milestone year packed with exciting achievements and meaningful collaborations.
Key Achievements of 2024
The Nature of Cities Festival: Our team participated in this global event held in Berlin, presenting both virtually and in person. It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights and connect with like-minded urban-nature enthusiasts.
Cooling Singapore 2.0 Project: We continued to contribute to this impactful initiative, advancing sustainable cooling solutions for urban environments.
NATURA Global Roadmap for Asia: As co-leads, we played a key role in shaping the roadmap for implementing nature-based solutions across the region.
Local Collaborations: Partnering with stakeholders in Singapore, Bangkok, BSD City, and Melaka, we explored innovative nature-based interventions to address urban challenges.
Celebrating Research Excellence
Congratulations to our team for publishing an impressive 12 papers this year! We’re excited to see these contributions advancing the field of nature-based solutions and sustainability in Southeast Asia.
Special Recognitions
IPBES Taskforce Appointment: A special shoutout to Perrine Hamel for joining the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Taskforce on Scenarios and Models.
IPCC Special Report Contribution: Congratulations to Emma Ramsay for being selected as a lead author on the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.
